Automatic Light intensity control Using Arduino

ABSTRACT

This paper focus on the idea of automatic lightning system and peculiar way of implementation with embedded tool systems. The proposed method is used to measure and control the intensity of light in room which is essential and good for vision for a particular work. Also with user adjustable light intensity control without using LUX meter and light sensors required intensity is obtained. This technique is implemented with help of LDR's, microprocessor and IRF520 MOSFET Driver Module to measure as well as to control the intensity of light as per the requirement of the user. In this project four LDR' are placed at four different corners of the room precisely taken care of their blockage of light. The required intensity of light is obtained by taking the average of all four LDR's and compared with the reference intensity of the light as specified by the user. Accordingly the Accordingly the whole intensity of the room is adjusted by using the MOSFET, it stepup the arduino voltage to a value able to drive some higher loads. This project reduces the power consumption as well as eye strain for the user to execute the smart work in real time application.
