Ayurved Management of Kamala (Jaundice)- A Case Study

ABSTRACT
Hepatitis means inflammation of liver. The liver is a vital organ that processes nutrients,filters the blood and fights infections. When the liver is inflamed or damaged its functions can be affected. Jaundice is a disease in which yellowish discoloration of skin developes at mucous membrane and the sclera. When the liver is not working properly it can elevatesbillurubin level in the body. In Kamala disease there is loss of apetite, physical activity of body will be restricted, nausea, vomiting, anorexia will be seen. 25 years of female comes in opd with symptom of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, yellowish discoloration of sclera since 6 days. Patient was diagnosed as kamala with the help of billurubin parameter. This case was treated with Ayurveda treatment with Shodhan and Shaman chikitsa and gotmarkely improve with Ayurveda treatment.
