ABSTRACT Introduction: Vicharchika, classified under Kshudrakushta in Ayurveda, shares clinical similarities with eczema. It is characterized by Kandu (itching), Pidaka (eruption), Strava (discharge), and Shyava Varna (discoloration). While modern dermatology focuses on symptomatic relief, Ayurveda aims at addressing the root cause through Dosha and Dhatu balance. Methods: A 51-year-old female patient presented with blackish discoloration, itching, flaking and cracking over the anterior side of both lower legs for the past two years. An Ayurvedic treatment protocol, including Virechana (therapeutic purgation) by Nishothar yoga was administered to Biopurify the body and restore Dosha (Kapha and Vata) equilibrium. Results: The patient showed significant improvement in symptoms post-treatment. Reduction in itching, healing of cracks, decreased flaking, and normalization of skin discoloration were observed. These results demonstrate the efficacy of Ayurvedic interventions in managing Vicharchika holistically.
