Behaviour Patterns of Children living in Orphanage Homes and Children living in Families

Author Name : John Wesley, Dr. Esther Rani

ABSTRACT

As a result of contextual and genetic influences, our behaviour is a reflection of our brain's potential to adapt to changing environmental demands. There are certain environmental needs that are generally acknowledged, and there are others that are specific to the experiences of each person. It is our biological limitations as well as our past experiences that dictate our flexibility in responding to shifting environmental conditions. Thus, children may differ in their capacity to adapt to new situations and regulate our behaviour appropriately. With the objective to find out the type of behaviour with child action tendency scale, the children from orphan homes and the children from the families were covered. The resulting analysis reveal that the children living in orphanage homes have higher level of aggressive and submissive behaviour with low level of assertive behaviour compared to the children living in the family environment.
