Bloodchain: A Revolutionary Blood Bank Monitoring Platform That Provide Traceability of Blood Bags Using Blockchain

ABSTRACT

Blood donation is an act of donating healthy blood to needy people. Today’s a large number of blood donation management systems fall short in providing traceability, immutability, transparency, audit, privacy, and security features. Also, they are vulnerable to  the single point of failure problem due to centralization. The issue of tracking the blood trail is modeled as a supply chain management issue.

Block chain Hyperledger Fabric framework, brings more transparency to the blood donation process by tracking the blood trail. Block chain Technology (BCT) in the blood bank system is used to ensure that the patient gets safe blood.
