ABSTRACT

Body dysmorphia, changes in eating habits, and celebrity worshipping are interconnected factors that contribute to the perpetuation of unrealistic beauty ideals and dissatisfaction with one's body. Body dysmorphia, a mental health disorder, drives individuals to engage in disordered eating behaviors as they strive to meet societal beauty standards. Celebrity worshipping exacerbates this impact by idolizing celebrities and idealizing their appearances, leading to intensified self-criticism and dissatisfaction. The media plays a significant role in promoting these unrealistic ideals, perpetuating negative body image and comparison. Understanding the correlation between these factors is crucial for developing interventions and promoting body positivity to counteract the harmful influences of media and foster a healthier relationship with one's body.
