Brain Activity and Communication for Paralyzed Patient with Hand and Eye Ball Movement
Author Name : Bhuvaneswari S, Prajana Shree N, Savitha M, Vaishalli S
ABSTRACT
The paralyzed/elderly person cannot establish communication like normal people. Paralysis is a condition where the person becomes immobile. Old age people are weak and brittle, they cannot do active work. Both these people are bed-ridden and dependent on others. The main objectives of this project is to communicate using hand gestures and control home appliances with eye blink.Continuous fitness monitoring can save up to 60% of lives by detecting problems early.. This project is developed to track the health of a person in real time. We monitor the patient’s brain waves (EEG) to know if the patient is dead or alive. In case of emergency, a passcode is sent to the family. Our proposed technique includes smart sensors, such as Temperature sensor, heartbeat sensor, Electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor and blinking of the eyes and the ARDUINO-UNO board.
