Chest X-ray Image Classification for the Detection of Covid - 19 using Neural Networks

ABSTRACT In the year end 2019 a virus named COVID-19 evolved around the world which infected and killed many people and swept all over the globe and declared as pandemic by WHO. COVID-19 is said to be the variant of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) which spreads from one person to another through air by sneezing, coughing or coming in contact with the person infected with the disease. This virus cannot be diagnosed easily as the incubation period is 10 to 15 days. The above said virus can also lead to Pneumonia The virus is incubated in the throat and lungs. The infection of the virus is known through the chest X ray which is very difficult for many doctors to diagnose as a new disease. In this paper we have simulated a machine learning technique by taking the mixture of X ray images of infected and non infected COVID-19 patients which are publically available in the datasets.
