Comparative Analysis of Happiness Disposition among Single-Child and Sibiling- Bearing Senior-Secondary School Students

Author Name : Dr. Jeewan Jyoti

ABSTRACT This research paper presents a comparative analysis of the happiness disposition among senior secondary school students who are single children versus those with siblings. Utilizing a sample size of 400[200 single-child and 200 sibling-bearing], the study employed standardized questionnaires to measure happiness levels across these two groups. Statistical analysis was conducted using t-tests to determine if significant differences exist between the happiness dispositions of the groups. The calculated t- value was 1.17, which is less than the critical value of 1.96 at the 0.05 level of significance, indicating no statistically significant difference in happiness disposition between single children and students with siblings. These findings suggest that birth order and sibling presence do not significantly impact the overall happiness disposition of senior secondary school students.
