Comparative Analysis of TF-IDF and BERT for Resume-Job Description Matching: A Deep Diveinto Traditional and Neural Approaches
Author Name : Sagar Kesharwani, Sandesh Shivane, Tanmay Chavan
ABSTRACT This survey paper looks at two ways of matching resumes to job descriptions: one that’s been around for a while called TF-IDF, and a newer, fancier one called BERT. TF-IDF is like a word counter that checks how often words show up, while BERT understands words in the context they’re used. We tested them both to see which one works better for helping companies find the right people for jobs. Our goal is to help companies figure out which method suits them best for sorting through resumes and job descriptions
