Change is demand of time, time changes gradually and things also walks with it rapidly. With the evolution of life, system has changed its characterstics from time to time. . A change during covid-19 pandemic crisis focuses on protection and empowerment of consumer rights with challenges. The purpose of the paper is to analyse and introduce the changes relating to consumer protection in the era of e-commerce business transactions. . During pandemic growing demand of consumers in keeping view of social distancing and increased hygiene protocols , have put pressure on e-commerce websites. The digital economy has brought the largest opportunities to consumers amid the covid-19 crisis. Digital economy is also the source of greatest challenges to consumers includes the growing price for basic consumer goods, rise of misleading advertisements and online fraudulent marketing techniques exploit consumers . pandemic situation make the changing dimension of consumer protection more complex. The e-commerce and its legal framework has responded rapidly to these challenges creating positive response to the situation. E-commerce has attracted the large number of consumers. E-commerce business has itself as part of new economy and new phase of e-consumerism.
