Critical Analysis of Treatment Protocols under Kriya Kalpa

ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical sciences in the world and according to Ayurveda the human body is a specific creation of several microscopic factors which remains co-ordinate across its life called as dosha, dhatu, mala etc. Among them the doshas specially called vata, pita and kapha comprises its major part as well as determined to be most important for its healthy lives. The balanced equilibria of these fundamental elements in the body coordinated the good health. However, inequity of these basic constituents causes to develop different diseases. So there are so many treatments protocols and procedure are practiced across the world since very past time. One such protocol describes curative and protective aspects of our eyes, the most important sensory organ of our body. As considering, the very potential and coordinating center the Urdhwanga or so called head and sensory apparatus system, Shalakya tantra determines it very specifically. It says sarvendriyanam nayanam pradhanam, that means the eyes are the most important organ in human body and so care should be taken to protect them very carefully. Shalakya Tantra is a specialized branch, where Netra rachana, kriya shareera, Netra roga nidana, samprapthi, chikitsa and many more about, have been explained in detail. It elaborates descriptions about it curative as well as preventive aspects of eye diseases.
