Cyber Attacks Prediction Using Machine Learning

ABSTRACT Unlawful access, collecting data without consent leads to data or security breach. A Machine Learning model to determine whether an attack is the result of hacking or not is proposed in this paper Two classification techniques are used for the purpose which are SVM(Support Vector Machine) and Grid Search CV. Cyber Security dataset has been used where 80% is used for the training and 20% for the testing. SVM is implemented on a synthetic dataset for binary classification whereas, GridsearchCV model is used for optimization of SVM when working with the actual dataset. Thus, this paper contributes to the insights into the practical usage of Machine learning in an organizational context and shows the positive interaction of SVM classifiers in the framework of data analysis projects.
