Decentralized and Automated Online Voting System using Blockchain Technology

ABSTRACT In this research, we have conducted a systematic mapping study with the goal of collecting all relevant research on Blockchain technology. A decentralized and automated online voting system utilizes Blockchain technology to ensure transparency and security, eliminating intermediaries and enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This paper aims to develop a secure and transparent voting system using Ethereal Blockchain, with smart contracts managing the voting process. The system is tested with mock data to simulate real elections, and its performance is evaluated in terms of security, scalability, and usability. Future improvements include biometric authentication for enhanced security. The system uses a hybrid cloud-based Blockchain and operates in three phases: registration, vote casting, and vote counting. This decentralized approach provides a reliable, transparent, and tamper-proof solution for fair elections.
