Design, Analysis and Fabrication of Wind Turbine Blade

Author Name : J. Bala Mani Venkata Kumar, Mrs. Ch. Sri Latha, B. Aravind Swamy, L. Bravadeesh Reddiah

ABSTRACT This study analyzed the suitability of two materials for wind turbine rotor blades: Polypropylene (PP) and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP). The results showed CFRP offers superior performance with lower deformation and higher stress tolerance, but at a higher material cost. PP, on the other hand, showed higher deformation and stress accumulation, highlighting its limitations for high-performance applications. A prototype of the analyzed blade is being fabricated to predict its structural integrity.
