ABSTRACT

Poppet valve are used in ic engine to regulate the speed of air/fuel mixture flow within the engine and to release exhaust gases through exhaust valves, respectively. The efficiency of the combustion process within an engine is largely determined by the timing of the intake Air/Fuel mixture and the release of exhaust gases. By continuously opening and closing the valve in accordance with the valve timing diagram, both the intake and the exhaust valve form a seal between the working space within the cylinder and the manifolds. The pressure generated within the chamber pushes the valve against the insert during the power stroke, sealing the chamber and preventing leakage caused by spring forces. The valve is subjected to thermal loading due to heat and pressure, which affects the engine's sturdiness. Engine valves are responsible for the majority of an engine's output and reliability. Experimental investigations are also expensive and time consuming, impacting production time, in order to obtain a valve with high thermal and structural strength. As a result, we're taking a different approach, relying on statistical approaches like Finite Element Analysis to gain a better understanding of temperature distribution through the valve geometry, as well as potential deformation due to structural and thermal stresses. By reducing the number of physical tests needed, this approach greatly shortens the planning period.
