ABSTRACT

Geotextiles have been increasingly used as a stabilizer at the edges of roads in soft soils. The purpose of this study was to determine the total geotextile potential as a road edge reinforcement considering the permissible aspect of safety and migration. The road edge rigidity analysis was performed in a limited manner using PLAXIS 2D. In this study, the successive modeling were performed. When constructing roads in soft soil a certain amount of foundation is required to prevent unnecessary partitioning of the road structure. With subsoil with insufficient capacity to carry too, stability is required. Geotextiles are increasingly being used as reinforcement for road walls in soft surfaces. It is analysed that the Effictive stresss, Total stresss ,Total displcement and Total strain.
