ABSTRACT
This paper presents a four-wheeled compact vehicle called Go-kart. A go-kart is generally a light-powered vehicle used for racing. The chassis of a racing vehicle is always different from a normal automobile. The chassis of a go-kart is a skeleton frame made up of hollow pipes of different cross-sections. The chassis of a kart is designed in such a way that it can withstand the loads applied to it. Design is carried out in solid works and the analysis part is performed in Ansys 16.2 software. The purpose of the computational simulation was to investigate the strength and flexibility of the chassis. By doing different design optimization methods one will get to know the structural strength of the frame, the factor of safety, rigidity, flexibility under loading conditions and to test and prove that the chassis will sustain in real-world conditions. The track width of the vehicle is very important when one has to design a vehicle so the most focus is done on the design of analysis of such a frame that can be compact and strong enough to sustain loads. The design must be safer in real-world conditions so all the parameters have been taken into condition for this to happen impact loads have been calculated. So, to prove the design is safe.
