ABSTRACT
Augmented Reality, abbreviated as AR, is a technology wherein computer-based 3D objects, developed on the digital platform can be superimposed onto real-life surroundings. Virtual Reality, abbreviated as VR, is a technology that provides a computer-generated simulation of an alternate world or a reality. Education is the basis of our learning; it improves and refines the way we see the world and how the world sees us. It is not about learning facts but instead, it trains the mind to think.
However, as per the current scenario, education is still limited to bookish knowledge almost everywhere. The reading level of books, especially those for young kids is quite higher and hence less appealing. Learning and understanding enhance not just by reading and listening, but also by visualizing and interacting. Hence, we proposed the project aimed to enhance and upgrade our current education system.
The application we have developed will be capable of exhibiting interactive 3D models associated with educational context, which can be implemented for learning purposes.
This publication shall focus on the entire study in 2 phases: the development of the application, on how such technology can influence and change the current scenario in various educational contexts. Moreover, the paper shall also demonstrate the efficacy and outcome of the implementation. This paper also aims to examine and analyze a survey conducted amongst 100+ participants to seek their initial perspective on AR based learning, as an initial experiment for later research.
