Diversity of Fish Fauna Of Kotwal Reservoir At Morena District, Madhya Pradesh

ABSTACT

The aim of the study was to explore the fish fauna of kotwal reservoirat Morena district, Madhya Pradesh.  The study was conducted during January 2018 to feb2019 .The survey indicated that the fish fauna of kotwal reservoir consists of 26 species belonging to  6 order and 12 family Out of these Cypriniformes order is the most dominant group with recorded 11 species, Siluriformes consists of 7 species,  Perciformes  5 species, Osteoglossi formes consist 01 species, Beloniformes consist 1 species, Synbranchiformes consist 1 species during study .Finally it may be concluded that the kotwal reservoir  is favorable for fish diversity
