ABSTRACT

Electronic voting or e-voting is being employed in varying forms since while with fundamental benefits over paper based systems like increased efficiency and reducing errors. The prime purpose of this review is to check the up-to-date state of blockchain-based voting research together with associated possible challenges while about to forecast future directions. A blockchain may be a distributed and digitized secure information storage mechanism. However, there'll be some challenges to realize wide spread adoption of such systems especially with relation to improving their elasticity against potential faults. Blockchain could be a disruptive technology of current age and promises to enhance the resilience of e-voting systems. This paper presents a shot to leverage benefits of blockchain like cryptographic foundation`s and transparency to realize a good scheme for e- voting. The proposed scheme conforms to the elemental requirements for e-voting schemes and achieves end-to-end verifiability. The paper presents in-depth evaluation of the scheme which successfully demonstrates its effectiveness to attain an end-to-end verifiable e-voting scheme.
