Author Name : Reddycherla Venkat Sriram Raju

ABSTRACT

To achieve higher yield of rice, inorganic fertilizers were combined with organic fertilizers resulted in better yield of crops. Inorganic fertilizers reduce the soil properties, degrade the soil fertility causes harmful effects on environment, combined form of both organic and inorganic fertilizers keeps the soil in good health, gives positive yield, reduces the long term effects on soil and to improve soil physical, chemical and biological properties. Different kinds of organic materials such as FYM, enriched compost, vermicompost, green manures, animal manures have been used to get optimum yield. Such a crop practices has to be technically sound, economically feasible and environmentally safe.

Key words: organic manures- FYM, vermicompost, green leaf manures, inorganic fertilizers.
