Author Name : Naveen Ganer, Manju Sheoran, Nirol

ABSTRACT

Abdominal muscles are the muscles that are known to be the core muscles of the human body, these muscles are extremely important not only for the maintenance of the good posture of the person, but also for maintenance of the normal body mechanics. As per some studies done before, spinal manipulation has shown to lead to an increase in the endurance of these muscle groups.  In this given case study about 50 males and female patients were selected satisfying the inclusion and exclusion criteria on convenience basis from urban community of Hisar, Haryana: a state in India. The inclusion criteria for the subjects chosen for this research work were that the patients can be of both genders, but they should have a mean age of around 24.98 ± 4.33 years while the Body Mass Index of the patients ruled out were kept in between 22.02 ± 3.36 kg/cm². After complete explanation of procedure, T5, T6, T7 spine of the thorax region were manipulated in order to increase the endurance of the abdominal muscles. Later the results were noted down and assessed which depicted a positive effect on the muscle endurance.
