Effects of YouTube –Is It Boon or Bane among Dental Students- A Questionnaire Based Study

ABSTRACT
Background: As this is an era of smartphones at a very early age students tend to get involved in different kinds of applications they are too curious to know about things happening. Students urge to learn things from different tutorials.
Methods: A Cross-sectional study was conducted during Sept 5th-7th 2021 among the students of tertiary care teaching dental hospital, Khammam. Using a website called Google forms a pre tested online Questionnare was designed and sent by copying link via social networking websites to the students in order to fill. Descriptive statistics and chi square tests were done using SPSS software 23. A p value of <0.005 was used to evaluate statistical significance
Results: A total of 248 students participated in the survey. Age of participation ranges from 20-24 years. Overall knowledge toward the YouTube among dental students is 25.86%
Conclusion: Based on the study majority of the students have knowledge about youtube and they are aware of its impact on daily-life
