Electrochemical Sensors for Nitrate and Nitrite Detection: A Brief Review

ABSTRACT

Electrochemical sensors (ES) can overcome traditional sensors and fabricated at low cost. With the advancement in nanotechnology, highly selective, sensitive and compact sensor fabrication become easy. In agriculture, soil nutrients is an important factor. Nitrate and Nitrite are nitrogen based compound and key components of soil nutrients. In this paper, we present a systematic review on electrochemical sensor for nitrate and nitrite detection, working principal, electrodes and their performance.
