Ethosomal Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems: A Review
Author Name : Keerthana.V, Shameer Mohaideen.S, L.V. Vigneshwaran, M.Senthil Kumar
ABSTRACT
Transdermal drug delivery refers to separate, self-contained dosage forms that, when applied to healthy skin, release the medication into the circulation at a regulated rate. Ethosomes, a unique type of vesicle used in transdermal drug administration, have a substantial impact on the drug's ability to pass a biological membrane. Because they penetrate the skin more quickly than liposomes, ethosomes can commonly be employed in place of them. Researchers are interested in ethosomes due of its enhanced skin penetration, increased medication delivery, greater drug entrapment efficacy, etc. On this page, the numerous ethosome types, preparation characteristics, assessments, techniques, items for sale, and purposes are all described.
Keywords: Structure of skin and ethosomes, additives, preparation method and marketed products.
