Exploring the Potential of Edge Computing for Real-Time Applications

ABSTRACT

In recent years, edge computing has emerged as a promising paradigm to address the limitations of traditional centralized architectures in enabling real-time applications. This research paper explores the potential of edge computing in facilitating real-time applications `by reducing latency and improving response time. Through a comprehensive review of the literature and analysis of case studies, this study highlights the benefits of edge computing, including enhanced data privacy and security, scalability, and flexibility in real-time scenarios. The research also examines the architecture of edge computing systems, emphasizing the role of edge devices, edge servers, and edge analytics in enabling low-latency and high-bandwidth processing. By examining use cases and identifying challenges, this paper contributes to the understanding of how edge computing can transform various domains, such as autonomous vehicles, IoT-enabled systems, and augmented reality applications. The findings from this research highlight the significance of edge computing in meeting the requirements of real-time applications and call for further exploration and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.
