Face Recognition Attendance System Using Python and Open CV

ABSTRACT In the current digital age, face recognition technology is essential to practically every industry. Biometrics that are most frequently employed include face recognition. It can be applied to security, verification, and identity and offers several more benefits. It is commonly utilized because of its contactless and non-invasive technique, even if its accuracy is lower than that of fingerprint and iris recognition [8]. Nevertheless, student attendance is still documented by hand, which is highly inefficient and takes a long time. Thus institutions required an automated working attendance solution that eradicated all of the downsides of paper attendance monitoring in order to save that essential time. This paper proposes a reliable and efficient system. This paper suggests an attendance program based on face recognition using OpenCV. This attendance system is not limited to students; it can be utilized anywhere. The LBPH and Haar Cascade approach is used to detect and distinguish faces [1].
