Factors Influencing Job Satisfaction of Private Hospital Doctors in Kanyakumari District

ABSTRACT Job satisfaction among doctors is an issue that is of utmost importance because of factors like patient relationships and time pressures associated with managed care. The current study was done to determine the factors influencing job satisfaction of doctors in Kanyakumari district and to find out the factors associated with it.The main objective of the study is factors influencing job satisfaction of doctors in Kanyakumari district. The study mainly based on both primary and secondary data. The sample size was fixed at 150 doctors. The main finding of the study is various factors which are responsible for job satisfaction of doctors, the 5 dominant elements are Personal needs and time management and working hours (4.0), financial benefits (3.9), freedom of patient care (3.8), work environment (3.7), work load and job responsibilities (3.7), Job security (3.6), work relationship (3.6).
