Flood Prediction by Rainfall Using MLP Classifier of Neural Network Model

ABSTRACT

Floods are an adverse event that occurs when water overflows into a land which is usually dry. This event leads to loss of life and property. With the effect of global warming and climate change floods have increased across the globe. Prediction of flood can help in developing better flood mitigation techniques by the disaster management authority, which will help in reducing the damage caused by floods. To predict flood by rainfall, the algorithm used is Multi-layer Perceptron – classifier of neural network model. The result will be displayed with the help of guided user interface-based application to the user.
