ABSTRACT Dandruff is the biggest problem for many in the world today. Many anti-dandruff shampoo, whether synthetic or herbal, and lotion are sold to the combat dandruff problem. Since ancient times people have been used in herbs to clean, beautify and treat hair. shampoo where mainly ingredients intended for hair and scalp washing. Shampoo is a formulation that contain the appropriate ingredients that are Ginger and Neem for the anti-dandruff activity, Black pepper for hair growth, Amla for strengthening of hair follicle, Reetha as surfactant, Turmeric as preservative, Guar gum as thickening agent the are various anti- fungal agent are used to treat dandruff in hair care product. currently, shampoo is used not only to clean hair and scalp, but also to prevent hair growth and hair loss. The shampoo containing was subjected to the evaluation parameter such as visual assessment, pH determination, determination of solid, surface tension, foam stability. The main purpose of this study was to eliminate the harmful synthetic ingredient from the anti-dandruff shampoo. Keywords: Anri-dandruff, scalp, Ginger, Neem, Reetha, Guar gum
