ABSTRACT Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic, dexketoprofen is a member of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID) class. The enantiomer of ketoprofen, dexketoprofen (S+), functions more potently than ketoprofen. A modified non-selective COX inhibitor, dexketoprofentrometamol acts quickly (within 30 minutes) and is well tolerated. Short-term unpleasant ailments like toothaches, period pain, and sprains and strains of the muscles can be treated with dexketoprofen. Injuries or pain in the human musculoskeletal system, which includes the joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons, and structure supporting the limbs, neck, and back, are referred to as musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Multiple sclerosis (MSD) can impact multiple body regions, such as the neck, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, and hands, as well as the upper and lower back. There are various dose forms of dexketoprofen available, including tablet and semisolid parenteral. Patients with knee osteoarthritis can also benefit from the short-term pain management provided by dexketoprofen. Emulgel's ability to distribute medicines in both hydrophilic and lipophilic forms is attributed to its dual aqueous and nonaqueous phases. They have been employed as a control release formulation in recent years. These biphasic systems are more stable and have a higher drug loading capacity. Compared to traditional topical formulations, emulgel has a number of advantageous qualities, including better spreadability, greaselessness, thixotropy, high shelf life, odorlessness, and a pleasing look. Emulgel is a dual control release that possesses both gel and emulsion qualities.
