Author Name : Shraddha Dharmu Pise, Dhanashri T. Jawal, Sakshi Vinod Sartape, Z. K. Khan

ABSTRACT This study intends to create an essential oil gel from orange peels, ascertain their physical properties and stability over time, and investigate the effectiveness of the best mosquito repellent. The gel formulations were created using pure petroleum jelly and contained one percent essential oil, such as limonene oil, from orange peels. The physical properties and physical stability were assessed by the gel. Whereas the viscosity, spread ability, and gel adhesion were examined using one-way ANOVA at a 95% confidence level, the parameters of organoleptic, homogeneity, and pH were analyzed descriptively1 . The most effective gel was evaluated in comparison to the product innovator's negative control, which employed DEET as an active ingredient, and the negative control. All gel preparations met the homogeneity, pH, and organoleptic requirements, according to the studies. Additionally, stable throughout storage are the spread ability, gel adhesion, and viscosity
