Formulation, Evaluation and Commercialization of Hair Smoothing Shampoo by Using Alliums Cepa

ABSTRACT Herbal Shampoo, the most basic hair product, contains herbal as well as synthetic ingredients as a cleanser, conditioner, and protection from various hair and scalp diseases and disorders. Its primary purposes are to thoroughly clean hair and lessen dandruff. This herbal formulation has been developed for dry hair using the powder of Allium cepa and the oil of Azadirachta indica. The most prevalent issue that the population faces is related to dryness of the scalp. Thus, studies on remedies for this were conducted. A number of parameters were considered when formulating and evaluating the formulation. Herbal shampoo was made with a straightforward mixing method. The physicochemical evaluation of the formulation was done. It stated low surface tension, good foam stability, effective cleaning and detergency, and antidandruff properties. This study’s intentions are to replace the hazardous synthetic ingredients in herbal shampoo with herbal ingredients, to evaluate the herbal formulation, and to provide an idea of commercialization for this herbal formulation to solve population problems
