Gaming Addiction and Quality of Life among College Students of Bangalore

ABSTRACT The aim was to study gaming addiction and quality of life among college students of Bangalore. The objective was to study the relationship between gaming addiction and quality of life among college students of Bangalore. It was hypothesised that, there will be a significant relationship between gaming addiction and quality of life among college students of Bangalore. Correlational design with convenient non probability sampling was opted for the study. The sample consisted 100 youth aged between 17 to 25 was drawn from various colleges situated in Bangalore. College students with any major physical or psychological problem on treatment or intervention were not considered for the study. Initially rapport was established and demographic details were collected and laterInternet gaming disorder scale and WHO quality of life scales were administered. Data was adequately scored and results were analysed. Correlation test was done to study the objectives. The analysed results showed that there is a significant negative relationship betweengaming addiction and quality of life among college students of Bangalore.
