ABSTRACT The emergence of the "gig economy" has annoyed the interest of both academics and the general public. Much of this focus has been on jobs mediated by various internet platforms. India is a growing nation. The concept of Gig employees is growing in the country as a result of the usage of technology and smart phones; nevertheless, there is no concept of Gig workers in Western countries. The Gig Economy is a novel concept for people who work on digital platforms or through online software programs. There are many reasons for the formation of any new thought that are not visible but play a vital role in its generation. The key reasons for establishing the concept of Gig are unemployment and the usage of technology.
