Herbaceous Allure: Crafting and Inspecting Organic Lip Formulas

ABSTRACT Aim: To formulate and evaluate organic lip formulations. Materials and methods: Herbal lipsticks were formulated using natural ingredients. Dried fruit powders (cherry, strawberry, and beet root) were mixed with castor oil to act as a colouring agent. Fruits were shade-dried and then milled into a fine powder. Changing the plant based colourants led to three unique formulations, F1, F2, and F3. The lipsticks were evaluated for skin irritation, melting and breaking points, texture, colour, and solubility after formulation. Results: The results show that the formulation 3 showed poor charecterestics in melting point, breaking point and solubility when compared with formulation 1 and 2. Conclusion: The formulations were prepared and evaluated. It was found that the formulation 1 possess good characteristic properties
