“How Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur is turning Its Trash into Treasure”

SYNOPSIS

The case is all about how a small city of Chhattisgarh: Ambikapur made a place in one of the top zero-waste cities in India. Like most of the towns in India Ambikapur too encountered the issue of improper segregation, collection, and disposal of solid waste materials. Through a successful solid liquid resource management (SLRM) model, it is now called as landfill-free city. There are 17 SLRMs centres in the city and each has two e-rickshaws also contributing to generating employment for many underprivileged communities near the city.
