Impact of Covid-19 on the Real Estate Industry in India

ABSTRACT

As the effects of COVID-19 are felt all over the world, real estate companies are beingobstructed in several ways, depending on region and resources. The International Monetary Fund forecast India’s growth rate at 1.9 % for the fiscal year 2021, down from 5.8 %. It was getting harder to get workers because of the pandemic situation all over India. Indian real estate, which was still arising from the counteraccusations of demonetization which was in 2016 and other changes, was knocked by this epidemic, with structure development came to rest and real estate transactions and financing paused. The secondary data research methodology has been used in this paper and the research aims to discuss the pre-pandemic real estate market and the effect of COVID-19 on the Indian real estate market. In this article, I have analysed that how the Pandemic will affect the Real Estate industry.  I have done SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five Forces Analysis with the analysis of revenue and profit forecasting. We have achieved some conclusions that even if there is a huge pandemic like Covid 19, still the sector is drastically growing and we have analysed that there will be an upward growth in the future through forecasting with few assumptions.
