Water is an important natural resource, but its limited supply must be used carefully. Regular monitoring and appropriateness assessments are necessary for several reasons. Inadequate water quality can lead to financial losses for businesses, environmental degradation, and ecosystem threats. Water quality is an essential environmental and financial issue, and its examination requires standard processes for sampling, preservation, and analysis."Physiochemical parameter testing," which examines various physical and chemical elements in water samples, is a technique used to assess the quality of the water and its impact on the environment and human health. Screening these biochemical parameters yields substantial information that may be employed to monitor the quality of water, pinpoint the causes of contamination, and put successful oversight measures forward to safeguard human health and water resources. Before determining the water quality from samples taken and compared from the regions of Chilika and Ansupa, the parameters of water quality, including pH, fluoride, chloride, and iron, are analyzed in this study. A study like this would be useful for predicting how ecosystems will change in response to changes in chemical and biological components. Especially interior lakes like Ansupa Lake in Odisha and coastal lakes like Chilika Lake are very significant water resources and well-known Natural Heritage locations. More scientific research is required to improve conservation efforts and benefit socioeconomic groups. The long-term resilience of these vital freshwater ecosystems in Odisha, as well as the safeguarding of ecological integrity, public health, and sustainable livelihoods, are contingent upon the discovery of physiochemical differences in Chilika Lake and Ansupa Lake.
