In Vitro Culture of Plants under Different Conditions
Author Name : Anusha Mary Anthony, Radha Palaniswamy
ABSTRACT
Developing and implementing a novel and sustainable energy crop is critical to achieving an efficient and economically viable bio energy production technology. Plant tissue culture, also known as in vitro culture, is introduced in this study as one of the most promising and environmentally friendly methods for the long-term supply of bio fuels. Plant tissue cultures are exposed to various stress conditions and stress combinations, which includes changes in environmental conditions and change in the nutrient media constituents, and has gained importance in the production many secondary metabolites by triggering the gene which expresses the production of many secondary metabolites in the plants, and is an effective tool in the study of genetic manipulation of many crop and development of many transgenic plants and in the development of many pharmaceutical products by secondary metabolites produced from the plants. In this review article various plants are grown under different condition they are effect of sodium chloride (NaCl), & Magnesium chloride (MgCl2); effect of double concentrations of MS medium with plant growth regulators; drought stress induced with PEG, Proline, sodium carbonate (Na2CO3); effect of high sucrose concentrations, and at different concentrations of cytokinin, auxins and TDZ (Thiadiazuron) and also discussed about other components present in the media and observed for their growth of plants and also estimating the various secondary metabolites present in the invitro growth plants.
Keywords : Biotic and abiotic stress, , MS medial, plant tissue culture, secondary metabolites.
