Author Name : Abhinav Chattaraj
ABSTRACT
The objective of this research paper is to analyze the parallel effects of the second wave of COVID-19 on the Indian Economy. For this analysis, we take a deep dive into two important industries: Tourism and Healthcare. While the pandemic has almost destroyed the tourism industry, it has increased the size of healthcare in India vastly. We will first take a dive into the tourism industry followed by the medical sector. In the section for the medical sector, we will look at some services and commodities and how their market changed during the second wave. The methods used in this project include several economic tools like bar graphs, histograms, pie charts, line graph, etc. and some of the concepts used include the law of demand, price elasticity, price analysis, etc. The conclusion explains the future of the above mentioned sectors and their contribution to the Indian Economy.
