Influence of DNA Origami Method in DNA Nanotechnology
Author Name : Shivani Mirchandani, Aryan Musale, Trupti Dharamrao
ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology and Nanosciences are frontier areas. DNA has been proven the most successful biomimetic component for self-assembly. Its remarkable molecular recognition properties and structural features make it one of the most promising templates to pattern materials with nanoscale precision. The emerging field of DNA nanotech separates DNA from any preconceived biological roles and exploits its simple code to generate addressable nanostructures in 1,2 and 3 dimension, which widens the spectrum of application and utility of DNA. From genomic applications to drug delivery in Cancer therapy, the field of DNA nanotechnology is growing in a number of directions, carrying with it the promise to substantially and sustainably effect material sciences and biology.
Key-Words: DNA-Nanotechnology, DNA-Origami, DNA-Tile, Self-Assembly.
