Internet of Medical Things- A Review

Author Name : Afrah Ahmed

ABSTRACT

Background: Medical equipment is now being connected to the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) to improve patient comfort, provide better and more inexpensive healthcare options, and make it simpler for individuals to receive high-quality treatment in the convenience of their own home. The main goal is to shed light on the design and application of IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) technologies inside the healthcare system. The information was gathered from a number of sources, such as review articles that were published in different publications and had the terms Internet of Medical Things, Wireless Fidelity, Remote Healthcare Monitoring (RHM), Point-of-care testing (POCT), and Sensors.IoMT has been successful in reducing the price of digital healthcare systems as well as how much energy they consume. Sensors can assess anything from physiological processes to emotional reactions. They can be applied to diagnose illnesses before they manifest. The phrase "Internet of Medical Things" refers to the widespread use of healthcare delivery options that might be done at home. It is possible to prevent millions of deaths while alleviating the burden on traditional healthcare facilities like hospitals by making such systems intelligent and effective for the early prediction of serious illnesses. Since the IoM has advanced, patients and doctors can now access real-time data.
