IoT Based Smart Energy Meter Monitoring With Theft Detection

ABSTRACT Every part of society is impacted by the energy problem. Energy theft, which causes financial losses and ineffective distribution of energy, is a major factor in this problem. There is a significant gap in the monitoring and theft detection capabilities of traditional energy meters. An effective method for tracking energy use and identifying power theft is IoT smart energy meter. Enhanced energy security via real-time theft detection, reduced energy losses and corresponding economic harm, and user comfort with remote monitoring and control are all achieved through the integration of sophisticated technologies like IoT and GSM.
