IoT-Based Water Quality Monitoring System for Prawn Farming
Author Name : Radha Krishnan. R, Balabasker. S, Ramesh. J, Venkatesan. V
ABSTRACT
Cultivating of delicate shell prawn has been practiced in south-east Asian nations like India. In the prawn cultivating, a poor water quality increases the mortality rate of the prawn in the pond. At that point, in this paper, we propose a plan and execution of a water quality monitoring system for prawn cultivating utilizing IoT innovation to give awareness to a farmer for maintaining acceptable levels of water quality in the pond. Thus, it adds to expand the endurance pace of prawn and accomplish better return of delicate shell prawn. Our proposed framework utilizes a LoRa-based wireless sensor organization and a lightweight Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol for exchanging messages between small embedded devices, mobile devices, and sensors. The framework basically comprises of sensor hub as distributers, and Raspberry pi MQTT broker, and mobile client devices as subscribers. The sensor hubs are worked with little embedded devices, LoRa wireless interface, and water quality sensors, for example water temperature sensor, pH sensor, and salinity sensor. We likewise arrangement an web-based monitoring application using node-red dashboard for accessing water quality levels remotely.
