Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay: A Fearless Soldier of Nadia's Revolutionary Movement

ABSTRACT The history of Nadia, which developed along the path of the bloody memory of the Indigo revolt, has repeatedly been plagued by foreign rule and exploitation. Protests against exploitation did not subside; revolutionary activities took place in the district through armed struggle. The youth of the district never hesitated to come forward in this revolutionary activity, setbacks and family ties could not bind them. Many freedom fighters gave their lives for the country at a young age. We got freedom only through their sacrifice. But they were not discussed in that way, they remained in the dark under the light of the propaganda of other revolutionaries. Revolutionary Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay's armed struggle struck terror into the minds of the British high-ranking officials, that history certainly makes us proud as Bengalis. The people of Nadia remember him with a heavy heart. All these stories of revolutionaries of Nadia still make us proud. This research paper will highlight the revolutionary activities of revolutionary Jatindranath Mukherjee.
