ABSTRACT Kalanchoe pinnata, commonly referred to as the "Miracle Plant" or "Life Plant," is a member of the Crassulaceae family. This plant has been utilized in various cultural remedies due to its extensive benefits and medicinal properties. This plant has various health benefits, so that's why it has been used worldwide since ancient times for treatment. This plant is widespread in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Hawaiian Islands, the West Indies, Macaronesia, the Mascarenes, the Galápagos, Melanesia, and Polynesia. This review examines its traditional applications, phytochemical profile, and therapeutic potential, which is largely attributed to its diverse phytochemical constituents, including flavonoids, triterpenoids, steroids, and phenolic compounds. The mechanisms involved in wound healing, such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities, play a vital role in the healing process. Wound healing is a multifaceted physiological event encompassing hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. K. Pinnata enhances fibroblast proliferation, collagen production, and angiogenesis, thereby facilitating tissue repair and regeneration. Studies indicate that the ethanolic extract of K. pinnata can effectively manage wounds by decreasing size and edema. There is potential for Kalanchoe pinnata to be a powerful and natural wound healer. Additional research and clinical trials are necessary to fully understand its mechanisms and to develop standardized formulations for therapeutic applications.
