Knowledge, Attitude and Awareness Regarding 5g Generation among Dental Students

ABSTRACT Background: Future 5G generation networks will aspect new contests, as well as growing claim on network capacity to support a huge number of devices running application necessitating high data rates and always-on connectivity; hugely and supportive the emerging business models in the wireless network market demanding networks to be more open. New challenges initiative new resolutions and involve changed plans in the network positioning, management, and operation of future 5G networks equated to those of current wireless networks. One of the key purposes of future 5G networks is to compliantly provide service customized networks to a wide variety of services using integrated cloud reserve and wireless/wired network possessions, which may be presented by several infrastructure providers and/or operators This study mainly aims to define knowledge level and perception regarding 5g generation among dental students aging between 19 and 24 years in Mamata Dental College. Aim: To assess the knowledge, attitude and awareness towards 5G generation among undergraduate dental students. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted among the undergraduate dental students (III, IV, House Surgeons) in Mamata Dental College & Hospital, Khammam, using a web-based tool called google forms, a semi-structural online questionnaire was designed and distributed to the students in order to get the responses. Descriptive statistics and ChiSquare test were calculated using IBMSPSS Statistics SoftwareVersion–29.0.0.0. A P – Value < 0.05 was used to evaluate statistical significance. Result: A total of 251 students took part with females (70.92%) and males (29.08%). Age of participants ranges from 19 – 24 years. IV Year (35.46%) students have responded more followed by III Year (34.26%) students and House Surgeons (30.28%). Detailed results and interpretations with respect to Gender wise and Year of Study wise in regards to their responses towards 5G generation are explained below Table 3. Conclusion: The study results suggest that the knowledge among students towards 5G generation is adequate. Attitude influenced the decision to awareness of 5G generation.
