Low-Latency Rendering Methodology for AR/VR Pipelines in Federated Cloud Environments

Author Name : Soham Sunil Kulkarni, Dr. Gaurav Raj

ABSTRACT The advent of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies has revolutionized numerous industries by offering immersive and interactive experiences. However, the performance of AR/VR applications heavily relies on low-latency data processing to maintain real-time interaction and prevent motion sickness. This paper presents a novel low-latency rendering methodology for AR/VR pipelines, specifically tailored for federated cloud environments, which addresses the challenges of latency and data sovereignty while ensuring seamless and immersive user experiences. Our methodology leverages a federated cloud architecture to distribute the rendering workload across multiple cloud services, located in proximity to end-users. This geographical distribution minimizes the distance data must travel, effectively reducing transmission delays. The core of our approach is a dynamic resource allocation algorithm that predicts the computational needs of AR/VR applications in real-time.
